Here’s a little bit about the wonderful people on our team.
Luke likes to dream big and often needs reigning in. He has a strong background in ecology, business, and finance. He also worked within the mental health sector for a number of years, so he’s a bit of an all rounder (or a master of none, but don’t tell him that!)
Phil is the managing Director of Crowdfunder, part of the Sea Change group based in Newquay. Phil brings tremendous business experience and likes to get stuck in getting his hands dirty in the process. He’s also quite a nice chap!
Where to start….The former Director General of the Royal Hoticultural Society, Commercial Director of English Heritage and Cheif Executive of CTC, the national cycling charity, is now the Director of the Eden Project, need we say more?……yes…..he’s also an incredibly nice chap and passionate about what we do!
Lindsey joins our board from the Real Ideas Organisation (RIO). From building award-winning programmes in the UK to driving groundbreaking initiatives internationally, Lindsey has the experience and skills at management, board and executive level to steer social business ideas towards success. She is a Trustee of Fifteen Cornwall and a board member of RISE. Generally she’s pretty awesome!
Jenny oversees our operational management and strategy as well as managing our delightful team. She joined us from Trees for Cities in 2018, a national environmental charity, where she project managed various large scale ‘city greening’ projects. Having overseen 4000 volunteers and delivered real social and environmental impact, she’s quite an asset! She’s dynamic, ambitious, funny and, like our team, quite delightful, lucky us!
Amelia makes what we do come to life. A brand and design specialist, Amelia has extensive experience in the creative and online marketing sectors. She oversees our website and all design materials as well as supporting strategic decisions. She’s also a relentlessly happy soul.
Another happy soul (how do we manage it!). Jen heads up our social programmes. Jen is a qualified Environmental Scientist, with a proven background in business and project management, having worked on multimillion pound projects around the country.
A vastly experienced horticulturalist, Hetty joined us from the Eden Project where she oversaw the horticultural development and management of their rainforest biome. Hetty ensures that the Orchard’s horticultural functions are performing optimally from design to productivity. She also acts as a volunteer mentor and educator!
Prepare yourself for some dulcet Northern tones. Jack has a first class degree in Environmental Resource Management and heads up our community engagement. Supporting people, building things, drinking tea, he’s an all-rounder. Just don’t mention how his beloved Wigan are doing!
Gemma heads up our educational services and comes with a fantastic pedigree in delivery and course structure and management. With a BSc in Conservation Biology and previously a College Lecturer she know her stuff. Engaging, clever, passionate, and driven to create social change through alternative learning, she’s amazing!
Dynamic with a multitude of talents, Lyn has been an organisational revolution. She shares our passion for the environment and makes sure people hear about it. Lyn manages our social media and organises the backend work needed to make sure our programmes are a success.
